Rosette Heart Framed

I figured I had one day left in February so I was still ok to post this. I know I said it was going to happen a lot sooner, but ya know how life goes sometimes. My boys are on a streak of what I like to call "the never ending sickness". How I cant wait for winter to be over and spring and summer to arrive!

Here is my inspiration for this project. I feel so bad that I cant tell you where I found this picture. I had saved it to my "to do" list before I started this blog, so I cant remember where I took it from. If this is your picture OR if you know where it came from speak up and I will give the proper credit to whom it goes to. :D I had the extra paper rosettes from the wreath i did so I put them to good use. I had a brown 12x12 frame lying around so I painted it "ivory" using the krylon spray paint. Then I hot glued the burlap to the cardboard that was behind the matte in the frame.
I then layed out the rosettes in the heartform then picked them up one by one and glued them on. the heart shape changed a little bit as i kept gluing but it still looked good. I put it all back together, and put it on an easle.... TADA!
easy peasy. Love it. I got it done on Valentines Day. Haha, talk about just in time. I still have it up. I figured since its still february its ok to have up :)

Let me know what ya think.

Cafe Rio Sweet Pork

I made this recipe the day my boys had their baby blessing. EVERYBODY, and I mean everybody said it was the best baby blessing food they had ever had. This recipe rocks! I picked it up from a site I dont really remember. Sorry. But it was about 3 years ago. Anyways, its delish. Serve it with chips, cheese, tomatos and lettuce. This has become a favorite in my family. I hope you enjoy as well. I linked this up to the wonderful blog All Things Thrifty. Check out the other yummy recipes linked from others. I have saved some allready. :)

I dont have a close up, all I have are the crockpots. :D

Valentines Day Wreath

Lately I have been on a wreath making kick. The minute I came across this one from http://yarner.blogspot.com/2011/01/rose-wreath-tutorial.html
"I'm A Yarner" (she has a great tutorial which is the link I gave you up above) I knew I was going to make it. I packe up my boys and headed out to the craft store to pick up the supplies I would need. I will say this did take some time... ok ALOT of time. But it is so worth it. My sister said she would pay me to make her one. I'm still debating if I want to or not :). Anyways, I think you all should make one!! I'm not sure what kind of styrofoam wreath she used but I got a thicker looking one (not the smooth skinnier ones). Those rosettes do take a while, but it gives you something to do while watching tv. I had some leftover rosettes so I put them to use on another project which I am almost finished with. I just need to spraypaint the frame then I will show you all. But I dont think I will have it posted for vday. It will just have to wait to be displayed until next year. *Oh, quick little side note, I did make some smaller rosettes to fill the holes, bit there were some that were so tiny, so I just got red tissue paper and stuffed it in. Works like a charm and saved me time and frustration*

Today I went to the craft store yet again and bought these 2 lovely fabrics. A nice dark grey and a lovely blue pattern. I will be working on them this weekend, so you will just have to wait and see what I will be doing!

I hope you all enjoy your Saturday and Sunday. I know I will! A baby shower and some good crafting fun. I will be using my sewing machine that I got for Christmas for the first time :)!

Another Sugar cookie Recipe

Here in another recipe for you. Since I was little sugar cookies were one of my favorite treats. I didnt care much for chocolate or chips. I just love my sugar cookies. :) So ever since I was younge (like jr. high young) I have been trying so many sugar cookie recipes. Ones with sour cream, ones with cream cheese and all that other stuff...BUT what I have found to be my favorite are the recipes that are the most simplistic.

Every time VDay rolls around I make sugar cookies for the ones I love. I enjoy the process mixing and cutting, and I enjoy giving them to my family and friends. This year was no different. This batch I made was for the girls that I Visit Teach. Sadly my heart shape cookie cutter is packed away, so I just used a glass to cut them out. I think the circle is a beautiful classic shape for the sugar cookie.
Here is a picture of the cookie....mmmm yum I found these cute boxes at Hobby Lobby and knew my cookies would look so cute in them!
I added some tags to the box. I made the blue & green one in photoshop (I'm a digi scrapper). I used the new Vday kit from GG Digital Designs. So cute. The girls loved them!
I thought I would share the recipe with you all!

My fruit Pizza Recipe

Here is a recipe I have used MANY many times. I have had many people ask me for the recipe. So here it is. It's yummy! It can be made for many occasions. My sister and my sister in law often request that I make this for family gatherings. Just a side note, you dont need to refridgerate it for an hour. In fact its easier to spread on the pan if its not refridgerated. Just put some flour on your hands and on the cookie dough. If you dont like almond extract then substitute it with one you do like. Keep a careful watch when its in the oven. If you have any questions let me know. :) I hope you enjoy my fruit pizza!!

**To download the recipe, click and enlarge the picture, right click and save it to your computer. The size is a 5x7

Here I am!

Ok, so I guess I should properly introduce myself (if you allready know me no need to read) :). My name is Kelli. I Love many things, and I love to do many things. A couple of those are spending time with my husband and my two cute little twin boys. They keep me going and some days just wear me out. But I kind of knew that would happen when I signed up to be a mom. I am lucky enough that I can stay home with my boys while my husband goes off to work. To keep my mind from going crazy most of the time I turn my attention to photography and crafts. I love using my talents and try to put them to good use. Lately my mind has been all on the crafting world. I am usually not one that would come up with a craft on my own. I see things that I think are beautiful and try to recreate them. I usually will copy it exactly, but every once in a while I will add my own little flare to it.

I was laying in bed one night and could not really fall asleep. I was thinking of several crafts I wanted to do and was trying to make a mental note to not forget (a thing that happens often in my mind...). So as I was lying there I thought I should make a blog just to post the crafts that I have been doing because I usually am texting or emailing pictures to family and friends. In that instant I thought that the "copycat crafter" suited me and what I do. I want people to know that I dont come up with these ideas on my own. When I do post a craft I will share a link to where I found it and give credit where credit is due. I think those that came up with the idea should get full credit!! So going along with this I may not usually do tutorials. Like I said earlier I am a mom of two little boys and so when I do actually craft I try to do it as fast as I can so i can get the craft done before they wake up from naps, or before i have to go to bed. WHICH leads to usually only pictures at the end when the craft is done. I also am not so good at explaing things. BUT I will try to do it each time. IF I do do (haha I just said dodo) something different I will say what I did diffrently and how to do it. FAIR? Ok.
At first I was just going to keep this bloggy blog to myself, but decided I would start to share. SO just so you all know I love comments. Did I just say that I love comments? Yes I believe I did.
Sometimes I go into craft slumps. So when that happens I may just post crafts I think are cute that you all should do. Or I may post pictures of things I think are beautiful.

So I hope you all enjoy. Let me know what you think.
*If you like to do crafts and want to share them but dont have a blog, I would be more than happy to do that for you!*

Kelli :)
